SCCAEPA has been notified that it has been awarded the Environmental Justice Small Grant by CalEPA to conduct a community outreach project on green infrastructure. More detail to come. 

World Environment Day

Southern California Chinese-American Environmental Protection Association (SCCAEPA) is joining the celebration of World Environment Day on June 5 June, 2022. Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Environment Day has been celebrated annually since 1974 and has grown into the world’s largest environmental advocacy platform. It aims to raise public awareness and promote actions to protect our environment. 

Youth Summer Environmental Camp

SCCAEPA is teaming up with another non-profit organization, American Educated Chinese (AEC), to hold the second SCCAEPA & AEC youth environmental summer camp in the summer of 2022.
Experts from SCCAEPA will lead middle school and high school students to study a broad range of environmental topics covering water resource, native plants, and solid waste management.

Asian American Engineer of the Year

SCCAEPA will participate in the Asian American Engineer of the Year Award (AAEOY) to held in August 2022. There will be technical conference and talent acquisition/exhibition at the AAEOY.
