June 10, 2023, SCCAEPA’s Environmental Summer Camp officially kicked off for its 3rd year!
Students will be led by environmental professional industrial leader on four different topics this year:
- Water Reclaimation
- Organic Waste Recycling
- Green Infrastructure
- Zero Waste Life

Dedicated parents and summer camp program staff work hard to provide the opportunity to students and make the camp possible!

Linda, a SCCAEPA life time member and a pround parent of a talented 9th grader, is showing a poster from Phase 1 of SCCAEPA’s Green Infrastructure Environmental Justice Grant. She has been supporting her son to enjoy the summer camp for 3 years!
Project sneak peak – Zero waste life
Dr. Kun Liu gives a sneak peak for the Zero Waste Life project. Did you know we only recycle 9% of the plastic waste? Did you know the average usable life time is only 12min for plastic water bottles?
Bring your own water! Minimize waste in daily life.
Environmental Trivia Games
Dr. Scarlett Zhai doubles as a game show host, with a student helper Elijah tracking the scores.
Students answered all questions correctly! Amazing how much the students have already learned from our coaches Dr. Kenny Wang, Iris Huang, Dr. Kun Liu, and Dr. Yiping Cao (standing in for coach Alyssa Yu) in less than two hours!
