About SCCAEPA
Southern California Chinese-American Environmental Protection Association (SCCAEPA) is a non-profit [501(c)(3)] organization. Since its establishment in 1991, SCCAEPA experienced growth and expansion over the past 30 years. There are currently more than 500 members who are scientists, engineers, professors, students, and environmental professionals working in sectors of government, municipalities, and consultants. More than 90% of SCCAEPA members have advanced degrees (Masters or Doctorates).
We enhance communication and information exchange and provide environmental education and awareness among the Chinese-Americans in environmental related fields by participating in community services and making alliances with other associations.
We Bridge the knowledge between members with technical expertise and the related fields to assist in resolving environmental issues. Award student scholarship and recognize distinguished individuals and organizations in their outstanding contributions to the environmental awareness.
We promote the communication and cooperation between the Chinese-American environmental professionals in governmental agencies and private organizations.
